How it works?
SendStreak is an email automation and marketing tool that offers all the standard features, however, it operates on a bring-your-own-server approach. This means that users need to provide their own email server or service for sending emails. SendStreak then drives this server and takes care of managing and messaging your audience.
Most marketing and automated email services become increasingly expensive over time due to the high maintenance cost of email reputation. This cost, which is incurred by everyone, is often caused by only a few customers. However, at SendStreak, we believe that our customers will maintain their own email reputation by sending emails responsibly. By doing so, we are able to offer our services at the lowest cost possible.
While SendStreak currently requires an external email service to function, you can still begin using it in sandbox mode without completing the integration process.
Getting started in sandbox mode
In sandbox mode, you can only send emails to yourself and team members who accept your invitation. This allows you to explore SendStreak’s features and user-friendly interface before integrating an email server.
To get started, sign up and create an account. An account represents a company or team in SendStreak and can be either paid or free. Once you create an account, you will be taken to the Account overview screen, which provides a quick health check of your email sending jobs.
In sandbox mode, we also provide some pre-filled samples to help you get started, including
- a sample audience member (you)
- a ready-to-use welcome email template
- and an example email automation that is initially turned off.
Getting out of sandbox mode
To start using SendStreak to send emails to an external audience, you simply need to add an email server or service. Here’s how:
- Go to Settings and click on Email servers.
- On the email servers page, click on Create new to set up your email server or service.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your email server or service type from the dropdown.
- If you’re using a popular integration like Postmark or Gmail, you may need to enable the SMTP protocol on your email service admin page. Check the Common SMTP configurations page for more information.
- If you’re using a standard SMTP server or any other email service that supports the SMTP protocol and is not listed, select Other/generic SMTP and enter the provided credentials and connection parameters.
- Make sure everything is set up correctly and click Save to take SendStreak out of the sandbox-zone.
If you encounter an error message, it should provide guidance for resolving the issue. If you’re unable to fix the problem, contact our friendly support team at support@sendstreak.com for assistance.
